Today in 2001 the WWE held its yearly Backlash PPV. The main event was Stone Cold Steve Austin and HHH vs Kane and The Undertaker, but the night belonged to Kurt Angle and the late Chris Benoit. They brought the house down with a 30 minute ultimate submission match.
