New All Japan World Tag Team Champions

defeated Daisuke Sekimoto and Yuji Okabayashi in Tokyo, Japan to begin a 2nd reign as AJPW World Tag Team champions.  
They previously held the belts for 175 days (December 23rd 2015-June 15th 2016)

WWE Tag Team Champions (2008)

(The Legacy)
The team known as "The Legacy" won the belts on June 29th 2008 at "Night of Champions" in Dallas TX, the current champions Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes were facing DiBiase, Jr. and a mystery partner when he announced as the match began he was going to win the belts by himself.  When Holly entered the ring to start the match Rhodes jumped Holly and revealed that he was the "mystery partner".   Rhodes and DiBiase held the belts for 36 days before losing to the team of Batista and John Cena on Monday RAW in Knoxville TN, August 4th 2008.   In a return match August 11th 2008 "The Legacy" regained the titles and kept them for another 77 days before dropping them one last time on October 27th 2008 to CM Punk and Kofi Kingston on Monday Night RAW.  The team stayed together for another 2 years before turning on each other at Wrestlemania XXVI and splitting for good

WWA Tag Team Champions (1971)

This team won the belts on June 18th 1971 in Indianapolis taking them from the Fabulous Kangaroos (Al Costello and Don Kent) who had held the belts since March of 1970.  Snyder and Christy and fantastic team of mat based wrestlers held the belts until November 6th 1971 when they dropped the titles to The Blackjacks (Lanza and Mulligan) in Detroit MI.

Won the belts at Hyper Battle 2004, March 12th in Tokyo, Japan by defeating Gedo and Jado.
They held the belts for 85 days before losing them in a rematch with Gedo and Jado at Best of the Super Juniors XI, June 5th 2004 in Osaka, Japan.

This would be the only time either of these men would hold the Jr. Heavyweight tag team titles.

WWF Tag Team Champions (1990s)

The Smoking Gunns
(Billy and Bart Gunn)


Won their first WWF tag team titles on January 23rd 1995 edition of RAW by defeating The 1-2-3 Kid and Bob Holly.  They held the titles for 69 days before losing to Owen Hart and Yokozuna at Wrestlemania XI in Hartford CT, April 2nd 1995.
The 2nd title reigned started with a defeat of champions Owen Hart and Yokozuna on the September 25th edition of RAW from Grand Rapids MI.   They held the belts this time for 143 days before having to vacate the titles due to Billy's neck injury.  
The Smoking Gunns 3rd and final tag team title reign started May 26th 1996 when they defeated the Godwinns at the In Your House : Beware of the Dog  PPV in Florence SC.   They defended the belts for 119 days until losing on September 22nd 1996 to The British Bulldog and Owen Hart at the In Your House : Mind Games PPV in Philadelphia Pa.
