Today in 1977 Harley Raced defeated Terry Funk for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. The match was held in Toronto,Ontario Canada at the old Maple Leafs Garden. Funk had won the title from Jack Bricso in 1975 and held if for 14 months.
The announcers are former NWA World Champion Whipper Billy Watson and then NWA President Sam Muchnick.
