TNA iMPACT! MOVES TO MONDAY NIGHTS (via Wrestling Online Network)
Let the war begins! TNA President Dixie Carter and Hulk Hogan today formally announced that the flagship show of the company, iMPACT!, is moving to Monday nights starting March 8 with a 9PM to 11PM timeslot, head to head with WWE's Monday Night RAW. The Monday night experiment of January 4 brought in record ratings for the company and Spike TV gave the go ahead to have wrestling back on Monday nights. The show will be live every other week
similar to the old RAW taping methods in the late 90s. TNA will tape the other iMPACT! on Tuesday. WWE spokesman Robert Zimmerman was approached by Variety for his comments about this move and said, "We're not too concerned.
We're in good shape." WWE hasn't had any head to head wrestling competition on television ever since they bought WCW from AOL Time Warner in 2001.
