> DIVAS HEADLINE NON-TELEVISED NXT EVENT IN PHILLY
- The NXT non-televised live event yesterday in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, was a special one for two particular NXT stars as for the
first time it was two Divas who headlined the show. While the NXT champion
Kevin Owens was in attendance and wrestled, his match did not close the
show, but Sasha Banks and Charlotte did. The two Divas stole the show as
Sasha Banks defended her NXT Women’s title against the daughter of the
Nature Boy Ric Flair. Both Banks and Charlotte were given a standing
ovation after the match from the Philly fans.

> MYSTERY ECW ORIGINAL TO WRESTLE BARON CORBIN IN PHILLY TONIGHT
- During last night’s NXT live event in Philadelphia, Baron Corbin
challenged any ECW Original for tonight’s second live event after he
defeated Rhyno during the show. Joey Styles accepted the challenge on
behalf of whoever will be and “shopped” around on Twitter looking for
volunteers. He said he will officially be a manager for the first time
ever in his wrestling career as he will accompany his ECW Original to take
on Corbin. Styles joked that he asked Taz but he’s retired and he could
not afford him anyway and when a fan asked him about Cactus Jack, Styles
said Foley is retired as well and needs someone who still wrestles. Bully
Ray, who appeared at the Rumble in Philly in January, replied to Styles’
tweet saying “Is that so…” Ray dropped a hint a few days ago saying it’s
not about who’s next, but it’s where’s NXT. This tweet was sent after he
appeared on Impact as the guest referee. In a separate tweet to Corbin,
Ray told him to “be careful what you wish for.”

IMPACT MOVING PERMANENTLY TO WEDNESDAY NIGHTS IN JUNE
- TNA is moving away from the Friday night television slot as Destination
America announced that Impact will be moving permanently to Wednesday
nights at 9PM EST starting June 3. Impact moved to Destination America in
January of this year and was given the Friday night slot which many in the
television industry consider as the death slot since it’s one of the least
watched nights on television. The show aired on Wednesdays during the
final few months on Spike TV after moving from Thursdays, the show’s old
time slot.

> TNA ADDS MORE IMPACT TAPINGS AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS
- TNA will be recording four days of Impact Wrestling next month as the
company returns to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The free tapings
start on June 26 and continue on June 29, June 30, and July 1 with doors
opening at 6PM and show kicking off at 7PM. On June 28 TNA will present
Slammiversary live on pay-per-view and since it’s held inside Universal
Studios, admission is free as well.

> SLAMMIVERSARY 2014 TO AIR INSTEAD OF NEW IMPACT NEXT WEEK
- Next Friday’s TNA Impact on Destination America will be pre-empted and
no new episode will air during Memorial Day weekend. Instead, Destination
America will be airing the Slammiversary 2014 pay-per-view in full. TNA
was supposed to air the Destination X themed episode of Impact on May 22
but will now air at a later date. It’s not known why the episode was
pulled from next Friday’s schedule but the fact that it is a holiday
weekend it might explain the reason why.

PERRO AGUAYO JR., DIED “ALMOST INSTANTLY” ACCORDING TO AUTOSPY REPORT
- The autopsy report of Perro Aguayo Jr., revealed that the Mexican lucha
lire star died “almost immediately” of his injuries he suffered in the
ring, suffering three fractured vertebrae and was dead by the time he was
transported to the hospital, said Gilberto Cota Alanis, deputy prosecutor
for Baja California state. The report was carried by the Associated Press.
Prosecutors have opened an investigation, and Cota Alanis said the other
wrestlers involved in the match would be questioned about the incident as
well as Wrestling and Boxing Commission officials who handled Aguayo's
body and the medical workers who attended to him. The whole incident
started when Aguayo Jr., received a missile dropkick and then was thrown
out of the ring via a hurricanrana. Once he came back in the ring, looking
already a bit groggy, Aguayo Jr., was hit with another dropkick that set
him up for the 619 but that was apparently the final blow that lead to his
death. 

TNA LANDS BIG TELEVISION DEAL IN BRAZIL
- TNA announced today that it has signed a new television deal in Brazil
to bring Impact Wrestling for the first time ever to the country on the
free-to-air sports broadcaster Esporte Interativo (EI). Impact Wrestling
will first air on Esporte Interativo every Sunday at 10PM and fans will
also be able to watch TNA’s monthly PPV and One Night Only events, as well
as TNA Xplosion. Xplosion will broadcast every Monday at 7:45PM.

Programming will air in Portuguese, thanks to a dedicated Brazilian
announce team. TNA will join global brands including the NFL and the UEFA
Champions League on Esporte Interativo, which can be seen by 105 million
people in Brazil and is also the home of MMA in the country. Turner
Broadcasting, the television arm of the American media group Time Warner,
recently became the sole owner of the network. TNA President Dixie Carter
said, “To partner with Esporte Interativo, a major Brazilian network with
a reach of more than 100 million people, is another significant chapter in
the incredible TNA international story and an important milestone as we
look to expand across South America.”

EVA MARIE TO HOST THE HALL OF FAME CEREMONY
- PWInsider.com is reporting that Jerry “The King” Lawler will be given
the day off on Hall of Fame night as his hosting gig has just been given
to someone else. For the first time ever, a Diva will be the MC for the
evening, and the honor has been given to Eva Marie. Only four other
individuals have hosted the Hall of Fame ceremony since 2005. Jerry “The
King” Lawler has done the show six times, Todd Grisham twice, Gene
Okerlund once, and in 2008, Grisham and Okerlund hosted the show together.
The Total Divas star is certainly not the most popular Diva among fans
mostly due to her inexperience in the ring despite being in the company
for two years already. She was introduced during the first season of Total
Divas and has remained one of the cast members ever since. WWE fan and
celebrity Maria Menounos will be returning to host the red carpet event
which will kick off an hour before the ceremony at 7PM EST.

 TAZ JOINS ACES & EIGHTS AND RUINS WEDDING
- As expected, the wedding between Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan didn't go as
expected and it was interrupted by a friend of the former multiple-time
tag team champion. Just as the rings were going to be exchanged, color
commentator Taz - who was the "best man" for the wedding - asked Ray if he
really wants to go ahead with this. After shutting up Brooke Hogan, Taz
removed his jacket and revealed himself as the newest member of the Aces &
Eights, as the group rushed to the ring and destroyed everything. "What
was supposed to be a night of celebration, turned into a nightmare. Devon
was 1 thing. Taz your dead to me scumbag," Bully Ray tweeted later,
continuing the angle on Twitter. "Dead? I just came to LIFE! All business
big man," Taz replied.


 WEDDING ANGLE DRAWS VIEWERS
- The wedding angle between Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan garnered a spike in
interest amongst the TNA fans as the this week's show registered around
300,000 additional viewers from the previous week. The live IMPACT on
Spike TV did 1,600,000 viewers with a rating of 1.15. The show had just an
average of 18,000 viewers less than the January 3 IMPACT, which was the
highest rated since the August 23, 2012, show. (Ratings compiled by

> JEFF HARDY OFF UK TOUR DUE TO LEGAL ISSUES
- The current TNA champion Jeff Hardy will not be traveling to the United
Kingdom for the Road to Lockdown tour and will miss four weeks worth of
IMPACT as the company will be taping the television shows in Manchester
and London. In an official statement, TNA said that Hardy will not be
making appearances on the other side of the pond due to an "injury" that
he sustained at the hands of Aces & Eights during yesterday's tapings of
IMPACT that will air this coming Friday. In reality, Jeff Hardy cannot
travel to the UK due to legal issues he has in the United States. TNA also
announced that Sting will be replacing Hardy on the tour and he will be
appearing at all live events including the four television tapings that
will be held. Hulk Hogan will also be part of the TV tapings.


> HOGAN'S EX-WIFE CHARGED FOR OCTOBER DUI ARREST
- TMZ.COM is reporting that Linda Bollea - the ex wife of Hulk Hogan - has
been officially charged with DUI stemming from an incident that led to her
arrest in October of last year in Malibu, California. An attorney for
Linda claimed at the time that his client only had a glass of champagne at
an event on an empty stomach but antibiotics that she took prior to
attending the event shot up the alcohol effect and registered a .084 in
blood alcohol level when she was stopped by the cops, which is over the
legal limit in the state. The Los Angeles County District Attorney has
charged Linda with two misdemeanor counts of DUI and also one count of
driving on a suspended license. The case will be heard in front of a judge
later this month and if convicted she can face up to 18 months in jail
although it's very highly unlikely she will spend a second behind bars.

TNA Lockdown 2013 PPV Announcement

It has been announced that TNA is going to hold its 2013 Lockdown PPV at the Alamodome in San Antonio TX.   A risky move by going to an arena that can hold 70,000 but it may payoff.....or blow up in their face.

 SORENSEN SUFFERS C1 VERTEBRAE FRACTURE
- Jesse Sorensen has suffered a C1 vertebrae fracture with spinal cord edema
(swelling) according to a message released by TNA's President Dixie Carter.
Sorensen was injured after a botched moonsault which saw his opponent's knee
strike his head upon landing, knocking him out completely upon impact. The
match - against Zema Ion to determine the number one contender for the X
Division title - was stopped and Ion was awarded the match via count out.
"He is slowly regaining feeling and movement in his arms and legs. He wants
to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Once we speak to the
neurosurgeon, we will pass on more details," read Carter's short message.

TNA AND VINCE RUSSO OFFICIALLY PART WAYS
- TNA President Dixie Carter announced that the company has parted ways with
Vince Russo, the creative writer who has been working for the company since
2002 except for two years between 2004 and 2006. "The separation is amicable
and professional. We are glad for the opportunity to have worked together
and wish each other nothing but good luck and success in the future," read
the statement, posted on Twitter. Russo was not at the Against All Odds
pay-per-view on Sunday and David Lagana, a former WWE writer himself who was
hired by TNA late last year, was onboard to help out. His relationship with
the company wasn't always the best and in October he stepped down as head
writer and was replaced by Bruce Prichard. Russo also had past problems with
Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan and their arrival created some controversy
however the trio always managed to find a way to work together. Prior to
joining TNA, Russo served as a writer for both WWE and WCW and is often
credited for the WWE Attitude Era storylines that catapulted WWE over WCW.
He eventually left for the competition but disagreements with management -
including Hogan and Bischoff - led to a disastrous run in WCW.


> UNDERTAKER CUTS HIS HAIR...ER...WIG DURING RAW VIGNETTE
- During yesterday's RAW, a second vignette with the Undertaker was aired
showing the future Hall of Famer getting a razor blade and cutting his hair
saying vengeance will be his. When the Undertaker returned two weeks ago he
was sporting a wig to cover the fact that a few months ago he actually
shaved his head completely bald. While the wig may not have been apparent to
many people on that night, wrestling with a wig would have been pretty risky
considering the several humiliating scenarios. Showing the Undertaker
cutting his hair on television was the best way to explain why come

- Smackdown last Friday night pulled a 2.17 rating and 3,261,000 viewers,
down slightly from the 2.19 rating of the previous week but an additional
