1984 - The Pretty Young Things (Norvell Austin and Sweet Brown Sugar) defeat The Zambuie Express (Elijah Akeem and Kareem Muhammad) for the AWA Southern Tag Team Title in Memphis, Tennessee.
1988 - Super Black Ninja (Keiji Muto)(The Grea Muta) defeats Invader I for the WWC Television Title in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, ending Invader I's third reign. At the same event, Bobby Jaggers and Dan Kroffat (Phil LaFon) defeat Chris and Mark Youngblood to win the WWC Caribbean Tag Team Title.
1990 - WCW held Clash of the Champions X: Texas Shootout at the Memorial Coliseum in Corpus Christi, Texas. The show aired live on TBS, earning a 4.5 rating. Clash of the Champions X set up the February 25 WrestleWar pay-per-view. The results were:
- Steve Williams pinned The Samoan Savage.
- Flyin' Brian and Z-Man defeated The MOD Squad (Basher and Spike), when Zenk pinned Basher.
- Mil Máscaras pinned Cactus Jack with a flying bodypress.
- Norman the Lunatic pinned Kevin Sullivan in a Falls Count Anywhere match, behind closed doors in the women's bathroom.
- The Skyscrapers (Mark Callous and Dan Spivey) defeated The Road Warriors (Animal and Hawk) by disqualification, when the Warriors brought a chair into the ring.
- NWA World Tag Team Champions The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott) defeated Doom in a Title vs. Masks match to retain the titles. Doom was unmasked as Butch Reed and Ron Simmons.
- The Horsemen (Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson and Ric Flair) defeat Gary Hart International (The Dragonmaster, The Great Muta and Buzz Sawyer) (with Gary Hart)) in a Steel Cage match, when Arn Anderson pinned The Dragonmaster after a DDT. Sting was originally scheduled to be in the match but was kicked out of the Horsemen earlier in the night and replaced with Ole Anderson. During the match, Sting ran to the ring and tried to climb into the cage, but during the ensuing brawl, Sting blew out his knee.
