This was The Nature Boy's 2nd of an eventual 6 Wrestler of the Year Awards from PWI.  His first was for 1981 followed by 1984, 85, 86, 89, and 1992.  He has by far the most Wrestler of the Year awards followed by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and A.J. Styles with 3 apiece.

Today, June 19th, would have been the 75th birthday of wrestling legend Ed "Wahoo" McDaniel.
