RVD STRIPPED OFF THE TNA WORLD TITLE
- Rob Van Dam was stripped off the TNA World Heavyweight title during yesterday's airing of TNA iMPACT! Eric Bischoff made the announcement at the top of the show, declaring the title vacant due to the injuries Van Dam suffered the previous week during the brawl that closed the show. An eight man elimination tournament kicked off yesterday during the show and the final match will be held at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view.
SHEFFIELD SUFFERS BROKEN ANKLE
- Nexus member Skip Sheffield suffered an injury during the live event at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii, yesterday as WWE held a show there before continuing their journey to Japan. Sheffield was in a tag team match with fellow Nexus member David Otunga taking on The Hart Dynasty. After the non-title match ended with Nexus victorious, Sheffield stayed on the ground holding his leg and had to be helped out of the ring. The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Sheffield broke his left ankle and will probably be requiring surgery leaving him on the sidelines for a while. With Sheffield out, Nexus is down to five members after they booted out Darren Young from their group on RAW this past Monday.
