Today July 2nd is the 53rd birthday of wrestling legend and icon Bret "the Hitman" Hart. The most successful of legendary Stu Hart's children he has a World champion in the WWF, WCW in singles and tag team competition.
He was part of the great 80s tag team The Hart Foundation with Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart and Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart. In the 90s he was leader of the new Hart Foundation that included Neidhart, brother Owen Hart, brother in law Davey Boy Smith and family friend Flyin Brian Pillman. Sadly, Bret and his family have been shadowed by tragedy including a stroke that sidelined and ultimately ended his in ring career.
Now in the midst of a comeback as a non in ring participant in the WWE he has seen his popularity skyrocket again.
