Today we mark the 8th anniversary of the passing of Chief Ed "Wahoo" McDaniel. He died this day in 2002 from complications of diabetes, he was 64.
A long career in the ring was proceeded by a career in the AFL and NFL as a defensive back most notably with the New York Jets where he wore "Wahoo" on his jersey and heard the crowd yell his name when he made a play.
